When time allows, I'll post channel sets that I create to look at earthquakes on this "blog".

Instructions: To copy one of the channel sets on the iPad, press and hold your finger on part of the channel list. When you release you finger you will see text-selection handles. Select the channel set and choose copy. Then navigate to the seismogram settings tab and press and hold on the current channel list. When you release you will see text-selection options; choose Select All and then choose Paste to replace the current with a new set.

Detecting Aftershocks of the 23 October, 2011 Eastern Turkey Earthquake

The closest publicly accessible near-real-time station is GNI, located in Garni, Armenia. But I was having trouble acquiring data from GNI. A station in Ankara, Turkey is a little farther away, but still relatively close. At this distance, only the relatively large aftershocks will be clear. Here are the channels for that region.

IU; ANTO; 00; LHZ; Ankara, Turkey (Up-Down); 0.01; 0.1;
IU; ANTO; 00; LH2; Ankara, Turkey (East-West); 0.01; 0.1;
IU; ANTO; 00; LH1; Ankara, Turkey (North-South); 0.01; 0.1;

Some data are available from the GNI station, but the most recent data don't seem to be available in near-real time (less than an hour). But here are the channels for the site in case that changes.

IU; GNI; 00; BHZ; Garni, Armenia (Up-Down); 0.5; 5;
IU; GNI; 00; BH2; Garni, Armenia (East-West); 0.5; 5;
IU; GNI; 00; BH1; Garni, Armenia (North-South); 0.5; 5;
IU; GNI; 10; LHZ; Garni, Armenia (Up-Down); 0.01; 0.1;
IU; GNI; 10; LH2; Garni, Armenia (East-West); 0.01; 0.1;
IU; GNI; 10; LH1; Garni, Armenia (North-South); 0.01; 0.1;

Detecting Aftershocks of the 21 October, 2011 Kermedec Islands Earthquake

Station RAO is very close to the recent Mw 7.6 earthquake in the Kermedec subduction zone. Island stations tend to be noisy, but you might be able to watch the aftershock sequence using that station.

IU; RAO; 10; BHZ; Raoul, Kermadec Islands (Up-Down); 0.2; 5;
IU; RAO; 10; BHE; Raoul, Kermadec Islands (East-West); 0.2; 5;
IU; RAO; 10; BHN; Raoul, Kermadec Islands (North-South); 0.2; 5;

A Three-Station Channel Set For The SF Bay Region

Listed below is a SF Bay area set with one more station (Lucas Valley) than listed in the default set from the popover menu. The additional station is in a borehole just north of the San Rafael. The station is part of the Plate Boundary Observatory Network, which is part of the National-Science-Foundation supported EarthScope Initiative (http://earthscope.org). The seismogram sample rate on that station is high (100 samples per second), which requires more bandwidth to transmit than the other stations. If you keep your requests small, this shouldn't be an issue. But I left it off the default list for that reason.

To see the seismograms from the  along the Hayward fault system near Berkeley, CA, use the "Near" filter settings and request about 3 minutes duration of data.
